By creating diverse, innovative, and exciting environments, LAANK aims to redefine the way that people live in and interact with different spaces. It offers an integrated suite of services that includes experiential design and interior architecture work.
As a boutique-sized firm, LAANK takes pride in being able to handle every detail and the soft touches that often go beyond the capability of large firms. “Our design philosophy sets us apart from other companies,” says Cherin Tan, Creative Director and Co-founder. “We ensure that each project is unique and meticulously-considered as we conceptualise the space based on the characteristics of the brand and its products.”
More than just about aesthetics, LAANK believes in creating holistic, architectural interiors that marry form and function. “It’s about creating an experience, and also functionality, workmanship, and value,” says Cherin. “It’s built upon a personal drive to make a difference in the interior design industry.”

Jason was trained as an interactive designer at Temasek Polytechnic, but says his career really started when he was a shoe salesman at the age of 14. There, he learnt more about customer sales, and has since applied this experience to his work in a range of agencies such as M&C Saatchi and Bates 141. Jason also worked at Ogilvy & Mather before specialising in youth marketing in local company, The Filter Group. In 2009, he started his own guerrilla marketing agency called Assembly, and later took up a management role in local branding and marketing agency Affiniti. This career journey has given Jason the creative experience to handle clients, think strategically on marketing campaigns, and inspire a team, all while maintaining his signature sense of subtle playfulness.
